The New World Order
Micah 4:4 “But they shall sit every man
under his vine and under his fig tree; and none
shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of
hosts hath spoken it.
5 For all
people will walk every one in the name of his god,
and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for
ever and ever.”
1. Private Ownership
2. Global Peace
3. The Walk of Life
1. Private Ownership
The first part of verse four: “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree;”
Now, we need to see something that is shown very clearly here.
Note the word: “his” is used twice in this passage, which thing shows us that in the Kingdom of Heaven, which is coming in the very near future, the presence of private property for individuals is not only surviving as an institution, but will actually flourish … in the seventh millennium.
Now, this is a real slap in the face for those who believe in a socialist utopia.
Brace for shock! Private property is part of God’s perfect order!
Further, individuals will be able to sit in their own backyards of their very own house sitting under their very own tree without fear from others, and in total safety.
Private property will be honored during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ.
Now get this! The personal belongings of a man are his “heritage”.
The land, the houses and all the heirlooms are his personal property … his heritage.
This personal property is also, called “substance” in the book of Second Chronicles chapter thirty-two, verse twenty-nine: “Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.” [2 Chronicles 32:29] God gave Hezekiah “substance very much.” Substance is possessions!
God believes in a person having possessions, and God blesses men … with personal possessions.
Further, the prophet Obadiah foresees a future scene: Israel possessing “their possessions.”
This is located in chapter one, version seventeen: “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” [Obadiah 1:17]
What can we learn here? Heritage, private property and personal possessions are natural and supernaturally given by God to man [and to Israel in particular as found in Jeremiah chapter twelve, verse fifteen: “And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.” [Jeremiah 12:15]
2. Global Peace
The last part of verse four: “and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.”
Notice here, the phrase: “and none shall make them afraid”.
The world that is coming will be the restitution of all things. It is what we are waiting for, and is want we all long for, which none of us could ever obtain for ourselves by ourselves. We need the Son of God [Jesus Christ] to implement the whole thing for us.
The League of Nations failed to give us this new world order after World War I.
The United Nations is failing to give us this world wide peace today.
Napoleon couldn’t do in nineteenth century neither could Hitler impose his version of a new world order in the twentieth century.
Even Karl Marx and all his faithful adherents could not do it.
Vladimir Lenin could not do it [in 1924] neither could Joseph Stalin do it [in 1953].
Socialism is not the answer!
Communism is not the answer!
When will we learn that man is utterly incapable to usher in a world order of peace for all the inhabitants of the earth to enjoy without killing and enslaving people of this world? Admit it, that men just cannot get the job done!
We have a problem, and the problem is in the human heart [it is SIN].
As long as men are in charge, then there will be war. It is a fact proven by history.
Now, here is the indictment by the Holy Spirit in the matter, which thing is found in the book of James, in chapter four, verse one and two: “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.” [James 4:1-2]
Now, what is the conclusion that we can logically draw from this?
MEN are doomed without the intervention of God Almighty in the affairs of men.
The perfect government will never be implemented by men. Read history, my friend. It is a history of men killing men, and of men enslaving other men … without ever obtaining global peace. What a miserable mess!
Then, God will do for men, what men cannot do for themselves.
Look at how it will happen. It is right in front of you [the answer].
What God will do … will be established by the word of HIS mouth.
Now, look at our verse: “for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.” This matches exactly with what we find elsewhere in the Bible. Consider this one in the book of Hebrews, in chapter one, verse three: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" [Hebrews 1:3].
Everything, [I mean everything] even at this very moment is literally UPHELD by “the word of his power”.
When global peace is established, it will be “The Prince of Peace” WHO establishes PEACE [the millennial one-thousand year kingdom].
[Isaiah 9:6-7] “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Now, consider this government! “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
• There will be peace … without end!
• There will be perfect judgment and justice … for all to enjoy.
3. The Walk of Life
Verse five: “For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.”
During the millennial Kingdom of Heaven, the people of Israel and the believers from this present age [the Church Age] will govern the nations of this earth from Jerusalem [Zion]. All the people left among the nations will get to choose whether they will walk after their gods or whether they will walk after God. Men will still have choices to make in presence of GOD HIMSELF.
Now, let me ask you this? Are there other gods besides GOD?
• We know from the BOOK that men have become as gods. [Genesis 3:5] “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
• We know from the BOOK that there are some who are gods. [Psalm 82:1] “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.” [Psalm 86:8] “Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.”
• We know from the BOOK that there are some who are called gods, but who are by nature are not gods. [Galatians 4:8] “Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.” [Acts 19:26] “Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:”
• We know from the BOOK that there are gods of the nations. [Isaiah 36:18] “Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The Lord will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?”
• We know from the BOOK that the god of this world is the Devil [Satan]. [2 Corinthians 4:4] “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
• We know from the BOOK that the GREAT GOD is King above all gods. [Psalm 95:3] “For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”
From this we can see that in the millennium the nations will be subject outwardly to Jesus Christ and to Israel, but inwardly, they still “will walk every one in the name of his god.” This shows a tremendous truth. Are you ready for this?
You cannot change the pig, except that the pig receives a new heart.
It has to be the inward work in the heart before the outward will follow.
There is something else can be seen here. The very presence of the nations of this earth in the millennial Kingdom of Heaven walking in name of their gods in the very sight of the TRUE KING and the TRUE GOD shows the forbearance of God and the mercy of Son of God … Jesus Christ.
Now what of the Christians in this age and the Old Testament saints and the Tribulation Saints going to do? Why, they will WALK the walk of LIFE!!!
We will enter into a continuum, whereby, all those who have loved and obeyed God [the believers in Jesus Christ], we will be with the LORD forever; “so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
This truth is located in First Thessalonians chapter four, verse seventeen: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” [1 Thessalonians 4:17]
It is John chapter seventeen that shows the kind of relationship that we all will have with God in the Kingdom Age. It is the walk of life. “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” [John 17:22-24]
This is the walk of life! Amen!
